Lake House Adventure

I just came back from my friend's lake house in New Hampshire, just after school got out. I went with 6 other girls, celebrating my friend's birthday. The 2 days we spent there were absolutely amazing, and I will never forget how much fun we had up there. To make it even more memorable, it was my very first time having an overnight trip by myself, with just my friends. I have had some sleepovers, here and there, over the years, but this was a completely different experience.

It was raining the first day we got there. Nevertheless, we still went out, rain jackets and all, and they showed us around the house and the neighborhood. Later on in the evening, the sun started to come out, and we all slipped into our bathing suits to swim in the lake. We were wiped out when we headed home, and were very excited to find s'mores dip waiting for us back at the house. That night I decided to put henna on for all the girls there. It was a new experience for all of them, and everyone was delighted by the results.

The next morning, we went to my friend's uncle's lake house, which wasn't too far off. His house, unlike her's, was right on the lake. We spent the entire day there fishing and kayaking. We also got to go on the jet ski, which was absolutely amazing, and also got to go tubing.

This entire trip held a lot of firsts for me as well. For example, I had never even heard of s'mores dip before then, and I'd never been tubing, or on a jet ski before either. I also learned how to cast a fishing line, since I had never fished before. This last one may surprise a couple of people, (because it sure did surprise my friends) I had root beer for the very first time. I absolutely loved it!

This entire experience was so incredible, and I hope I get to experience it again. All in all, I am so grateful I got to go on this trip, and am so glad I got to share this with you too.
